Magnapoetsis a biannual print journal, published approximately in January and July of each year. Reading periods are May 1-31st and October 1-31st.
IMPORTANT: We do not publish work that has been previously published, simultaneously submitted, or that has been workshopped or appeared on blogs or forums in any form. If you post your work online after it has been accepted for publication, but prior to us going to print, your work will no longer be accepted. If you copy work from our print magazine, and place it online or in another print magazine, without our express written consent, and the express written consent of our writers, your work will no longer be considered for publication in Magnapoets. Below are our guidelines. Submissions that do not follow these guidelines will be discarded.
Please send your submissions to Magnapoets AT Gmail DOT com . Poems should be the sender's own work, not previously published nor simulataneously submitted, and sent by E-mail, with all poems contained in the BODY of the E-mail -- attachments will not be accepted, and if used, will not be opened or read. Poems may be any style or form. You will be notified by E-mail if any of your work is accepted for inclusion in the magazine. If you don't hear back from us by the 15th of the following month, consider your work released back to you and free for submission elsewhere. Magnapoets requires first publishing rights. All submissions are released upon publication of the issue for which they were submitted. Publication in this magazine constitutes "previous publication" for most poetry contests. No snail mail submissions will be accepted.
Free Verse and Form Poetry Send up to 3 previously unpublished poems with Magnapoets in the subject line. Poems must not be longer than 48 lines. Haiku and Senryu Send up to 5 previously unpublished haiku with MAGNAPOETS in the subject line Tanka Send no more than one previously unpublished piece, 500-1500 words in length, in the body of an email. Attachments will not be opened. Be sure to place "Magnapoets" in the subject line.
