« My Poems Are Wrapped In Darkness(Elisha Porat) | Main | Havana Night Life by Margarita Engle »

I Weep For You by Danny C. Sillada

whoever weeps tonight
my soul weeps for you

if you are broken
my heart breaks for you

if you are desolate
my spirit goes with you

for tonight,
no one weeps deeper

than this broken,
orphaned soul!

The focus from self to others is touching in this poem.
