"Thor" is a cool name for a dog.
My brother tells me 1965 was a good year - he says this knowing I was born a year later.
Is that all of Mama G's kisses he's getting? He gets the kisses and you get thrown into the soup pot -- what gives? :p

Shane, Thor is standing in for all the pooches that got better treatment than me over the decades (kisses and bones). I guess I learned a lot of lessons about the genders in my youth and then forgot them when it would have helped the most. [Ask your brother about Feb. 1963, when the picture was actually taken; sorry for the typo, but I'm glad your comment made me check it.]
I still don't know how I escaped the soup pot in December 1950 before the water boiled.
It just occurred to me that this haiga is the first one I've done without a collaborator. I took the shot with my first Kodak Brownie camera. http://www.brownie-camera.com/13.shtml

You mean in "Mom always liked you best" "you" is a dog?

Well, Bill, a dog and a couple of siblings. [emoticon implied] Actually, Mama G. would not be caught dead kissing a dog (probably thinks kissing one would in fact kill her). As mentioned above, Thor is standing in for me and my so-called love life.
