Why are you the only one not in costume?

I was just there serving a subpoena, when an angel floated by.

Beautiful! Both haiku and picture are very enjoyable! :-))

Note: I just re-wrote the senryu in this haiga, after deciding that the first one "told" too much.

The original poem was:

halloween party --
the shrink can't decide:
tarts or cheese cake?

:-D That's funny! I'm laughing out loud!!

Thanks, Andrea.
Thanks, Andrea.

They're both really his mother.

:)

halloween picnic . . .
dad's prepared
for corn on the cob

trick or treat...
was my mask on or off
when the child shrieked?

and, by the way, 2-3 years ago, I really did cause a little-kid trick-or-treater to cry out in horror. :-O

Wow, we're having a party right here with all this haijin hijinx.

I wish you could remember whether that mask was on or not, Janet. But, I won't ask why you can't remember. Meanwhile, raise you hand, everybody, if you've ever make a child shriek -- in costume or in street clothes. [get that hand up, AA!]

i must have been having a bad-hair day.

Uh, made a kid shriek? What do you take me for - some kind of weirdo lawyer??
