These are all very nice, but that last one is my favourite. Are you the one on Santa's lap, or the one standing beside?
Apparently, at the age of one, I recognized my Mom's brother dressed as Santa, and pulled off the beard. My father loved to tell that story. :) (We weren't raised believing in Santa Claus anyway.)

Hi, Aurora. You were, of course, precociously observant (almost said obnoxious). That's Arthur in Santa's lap. I'm observing and Linda seems to be a little skeptical. She would have been 4 that Christmas, and the twins just turned 3.

My father taught me to never apologize for being smart. So there.
Who's the other little boy?
Posted by: aurora | December 24, 2007 at 06:28 PM
That's my first cousin Alfred Joseph, the son of Santa's helper Big Al. He lives in California and is a Navel Academy grad (probably retired by now, come to think of it).
p.s. I guess you don't get to use that advice very often.

So is your middle name Alfred or Arthur?
Posted by: aurora | December 24, 2007 at 06:38 PM
Neither. Ms. Smartie. We've had this conversation before, and I'm the Baby Boomer with all the burned-out memory synapses. I think I'll let you make a few more guesses.

If it's "Aurora", that'd be uber creepy.

Finally, we are in complete, auspicious, autonomic agreement.

There's a rumor that Aurora and David are the same person. Has anyone ever seen them together?
Don't mind me. Holidays put me in a giddy mood.
Nice set, David. I especialy like "Xmas soup."

Very scary thought, Bill. Far as I know, AA and DAG have never even been in the same State or Province simultaneously. Imagine the shrink bills if I wake up someday and realize I wrote all those tanka.
