Thanks, aurora. I grew up in Watertown MA; the cemetery is near the Watertown-Cambridge border. It attracts visitors from around the world.

Janet, as the first landscaped cemetery in America, it's historically important; it's also served as a model for many others. In addition, many notables are interred there, including the artist Winslow Homer, the statesmen Henry Cabot Lodge Senior and Junior, the novelist Bernard Malamud, and the poets Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and Robert Creeley. Finally, it's a beautiful spot, attracting, among others, birders and, in the autumn, foliage lovers.
