The caesura at the end of line three sets the second half of the poem up nicely. An excellent tanka!

i like this tanka, as i'd mentioned to you earlier when I'd seen it in SH. there's a very good pace and collection of "sounds" (the c's and w's and r's, etc.) in this poem.
